Second in a series of old figure drawing pieces I'm uploading to add to my portfolio. Most likely will Scrap later.

One of my rare oil paintings that came out decently. I really, REALLY hate oil painting. Ugh.

i Really do not have any patience with oils, too much hassle, too much stuff, too long to dry, and too much clearing up, but it's a great medium!, so i truly admire this picture and the patience and dedication you put behind it, Truly astounding!, I shall adopt this deviation and give it a home in my favourites!,

you should paint more! /)

I like your use of blues and reds in the shadows, especially on the legs and face. Very nice.

I'm going to be learning oils soon... o 3 o

Thanks.
And I'm gonna be honest, oils can be a pain. You have to lug around this tackle box of supplies, open 2 dozen tubes of the paint, put them on a palette, open a jar of cleaner, and every time you want to change colors, you HAVE to clean out the brush, which is freakin' tedious. Then you have to scrape clean the palette, throw the paints away in a special waste container, and wash off the palette. And then pack up all the rest of the supplies. Fun.

That's my experience from the college courses I took, anyway. Some people love it. Good for them, but I personally can't stand it. (Pampered by digital art...)

Oh I know... always a huge effort to set up and clean up. Hurf. That's why I never got into painting much... some watercolors, but watercolors are fussy.

I'll have my own studio space at school, so hopefully I won't have to haul too much stuff back and forth... >___>
